hello everybody!
This is my first blog post for the allaboutreptile website!, so lets get started.
So the other weekend i went to repticon 2012. If you dont already know, repticon is a big huge reptile convention that travels all around the east coast, having all of the top of the line reptile and exotic animal breeders. It also has shows and informational speakers at the stage. This was the first time repticon was in my area so of course, I was very excited. It opned at 10 am, but i got the vip tickets so we got in an hour early, and a exco tera bag with a bunch of free stuff in it. This convention was huge, from reptiles, to spiders, to mammals alike. It had a the top of the line breeders that you see on facebook or the internet. I knew i was going to get a reptile but i wasnt for sure what. I walked around the comvention for a hour and finally came to my conclusion. I wanted a tortoise. I went to the one that i wanted most. The red-footed. There was many booths with them but this one was just perfect, The man got the tortoise for us and I was ready to bring him home, but we coudnt forget to stop by feeders-direct and get our insects! it was great to be able to buy them right there at the expo and also not have to pay a fortune like at the pet shop (blah). i got 100 crickets for 5$ and 100 mealworms for 3. (really a GREAT deal). we then eft and went to pick him up a home and to set him up. all in all this was one of the best xpos ive been to... well the only... but still the best and I WILL be going back nex year.
till next time
